Volunteer driver needed for Buddhist prison chaplain

The Forest Hermitage near Stratford upon Avon are looking for a volunteer to drive the prison chaplain on his weekly prison visits.

“Luangpor typically goes out every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday afternoon and/or evening. Most visits are local - Evesham, Rugby, Bicester and so on, with the occasional one further afield. We have a decent car for this purpose and although the role is voluntary we can cover any expenses.

If you are interested in helping out, whether for just one day a week or for all three, or if you know of anyone who might be, please get in touch.

Applicants need to be male, with a clean driving license. We're happy to provide accommodation during the week if necessary”

The Theravada branch of Buddhism is still somewhat segregated. The nuns live and eat separately etc. I am assuming that’s the primary reason.

I post this up as the guy is a really interesting chap. I have met him a few times. I work full time and am not a bloke so don’t qualify, unfortunately.
