Hi everyone, my mate is just about to buy a new T350 but someone has told him the servicing costs are about £1800. Does anyone know what the cost is? He needs to know tonight,

any help would be appreciated.

cheers

A 6K service is around £500, and a 12K service is around £700, so if you're doing 6K miles a year, and provinding nothing major needs doing to the car, it should cost half of what you've been told per annum
I just had a service, heater work, MoT and 2 new tyres, and it still come to well under a grand!

Why should it make any difference? if he can afford a 350 (relatively new car so expensive) he can surely afford to service it? or is it a case of champagne lifestyle, lager income?

LOL - have to agree....its like the threads where peopl are worrying whether they will get 20 or 25mpg....it makes bugger all difference when youre driving a £40K car !...the fuel costs are the least of your problems.

Servcing costs depends on how much you use it - drive it daily and do 12K miles per year then you probably want £3K per year for servicing/tyres/discs n pads + niggles etc

You're not being fair guys. If the car did cost this much at each service then many people would choose to buy a 355 or comparable exotic car (bang for their buck and all that).

Chain driven BTW. You won't be finding many speed six engines getting towards cambelt changing miles anyway

Edited to say: I agree about the MPG bit though, getting 23mpg out of a car with this performance is really good, but common sense tells you it is no 1.9TDi.

Maybe the guys come into some money and wants the best he can get, but still has to run it. Or, he doesn't fancy being ripped off [from info supplied]. Seems fair question to me.
