Who's gonna be first to sell me some nice-sounding, free-breathing ones then ?

Looks like a toss-up between HSV and WRC. Have to see whose prices are best.

There's also these:

Its the new VXR Monaro system we've developed with Vauxhall. Full system including 200 cell race cats, should be available soon.

Our 2004 systems are now starting to be delivered to customers and our 2005 systems have just been signed off for production.................

Customer qoute on the 2004 system "You have got to get this mod!
The sound alone is worth it…..have you seen Days of Thunder I swear Satan himself shouts when I floor it!"

here are some pictures..............

That 05 exhaust looks awesome !!!

Any idea of price including VAT & Fitting on an 05 CV8?

Also, do you have an idea of when you can start to fit these to our cars?

Thanks

Thats interesting....the VXR exhaust has straight through pipes with no centre resonators at all, combined with 200 cell cats it should generate good power increases (certainly feels that way on the Vauxhall cars).

Allan, what cats do yours use, why the centre resonators?

No trying to start a fight, just curious and I'm sure the guys here will be curious.

Our systems are produced in the UK and will become an ex stock item which you will be able to buy from SELECTED Vauxhall dealers in a few weeks.......

The guide price is £700 + vat and fitting for the 2004 and £850 + vat and fitting for the 2005 but this may come down when we move into larger quantities

"A note to owners if you have a full system inc headers please make sure you get the PCM reprogramed as the fuel trims will run very lean........"

Cool.

The Milltek full sytem is from headers back so no need for remap, although with 200 cell race cats a remap will generate even more gains with one, I'm sure WRC or Wortec won't mind remapping a car with a full system and not just a cat back

No idea on prices yet but tbh they're likey to be higher than that as befits a system that is about power first and foremost

We are right in our comfort zone here..... as we have been working in these cars for the last few year..........

So let the games begin !!!! and the first person to tune a 6.0l wins a slab of VB...............

mmmmmmmmm VB ;D

We don't tune cars per se (we just make the best exhausts for them), so I'll do you a deal, we'll pit our exhaust against anyone elses on a stock and mapped car and RR them back to back. If the Milltek doens't win then I'll buy the VB

As a casual, and amused, observer, how can anyone suggest the fitting of such a major mod, whether cat back or sport cat, and not offer to remap to allow the customer to enjoy the benefits fully? Like suggesting buy a bigger gun to shoot further but suggesting that they go elsewhere to buy bigger bullets for it. Seems anyone can sell a bit of metal, as an owner i would rather spend my money knowing that who i was paying understood the owners wants and had the knowledge to sell their expertise next to bits of metal.

As regards quality, i would suggest that a uk made bespoke system for a paticular car would be preferable to a mass produced OZ or uk patterned article.

Seems lots of potential upgraders have made bold statements to offer owners all sorts, and only one is delivering a quality product at this stage. It also appears they offer a complete service not just act as brokers to sell bits.

Bold statements indeed. I do hope that WRC Tech were not included in your "broad brush" attack ?

We seem to be the only retailer currently involved in this topic who have invested in:

Rolling Road capable of huge BHP
Dealer edition of EFi Live
Years of expertise
Premises able to support repairs
Overhead / staff
Training
Insurance
Development on our own cars

etc etc

As for UK vs Aus I,m inclined to disagree. I am sure that Thorneys proposal of a "shoot out" sounds appealing to me. We can host the event.

Real Aussie muscle on a real Aussie Dyno. It may of course need to wait a while as currently no one has 6.0 litre tuning software !

Regards and see you at the OK corral

Ah, you going to leave LSV out of the equation then, come on boys, lets all be nice, everyone is entitled to an opinion, making a living etc.

Really apart from informing us it should be the customers to make comment.

Hiya Will
A poke in the eye will always elict a reply. As for LSV I said that we were the only retailer currently involved in the topic, and made ref to Dyno capability.
LSV of course have invested in everything else the same as ourselves.

Regards customers comments you are absolutely correct those are the reality.
It did all get a little "handbags at dawn" ish but I cannot sit by and allow WRC to be swept into the category of "bedroom brokers" as was intimated.

Hi Allan

Did not read the posts properly, yes you need to stand up for yourself, someone said LSV were getting the same rolling road & diagnostic/tune s/w as yours last Friday, probally just the usual rumours but maybe just a matter of time. I like fair play, thats all, as despite some bewildering customer service issues they are at least an established workshop.

No doubt will be seeing you soon and I might be saying different things then LOL

As i said 'at this stage' . Not appropriate to discuss on here, but as u know Allen, u have not offered me anything yet that is tangible and priced!

I am sure when the dust settles that there will be lots of great opportunities out there for owners, my point was, at the moment only one is offering answers and solutions.
