Hi,

I have been offshore for 10 weeks and came back to car(E46 M3 2002) to find i had forgotten to disconnect the battery before i left. I borrowed a booster pack and it started easily. Once i had reversed out of the storage lock up i noticed the EML light and the DSC light were illuminated. Further driving showed the car was in limp home mode.

I drove home and sat the battery on a trickle charger over night and reconnected it (resting volt 12.7) same symptoms remain. I plugged a code reader in which is coming back with no active codes and the engine is running smoothly. i checked all the fuses with a multi meter and all ok. The only issue appears to be that it is stuck in Limp Home mode. I cant help feel that this has to do with the battery being dead for a number of weeks.

There is no availability in Stirling until Tuesday and at 30mph top speed i dont really want to travel anywhere else so does anyone have any ideas of what this could be or how to reset it?
