Just been to pick up our BMW 1 series after the remedial works from the recent recall and they have come up with a string of work that need doing and an engine failure light is showing that was not there before. Has anyone had similar problems after taking their car in for repair work after this recall?

Nope. Mine went in for the recall, they identified another outstanding recall and did that at the same time.

Was expecting a ‘health check’ to have been done with a list of remedial work as long as my arm - but nothing! Didn’t even try selling me a new motor!

Just a ‘your car is ready sir, have a good day!’ Quite surprised to be honest.

Just had both recalls done on mine without issue. They also finally, after 5 years, tracked down the source of an oil leak and replaced the rocker gasket and oil pan (I think?!) gasket all under warranty. The car is 11years old so there’d be plenty of scope for them to try it on with other work..

Just had the wife's done, had some notes about lower arm bushing wear but other than that they were fine. Even washed it!

My E92 was booked up for the latest recall work, went in today. Three hours later the car was ready, sadly they didn’t have the parts to carry out the recall work! car washed and comprehensive FOC health check with report. Also I was safe to drive and they will call me when the parts are in stock.
