I want a comfortable. Not slow (8 to 60 ?). Daily commuter car. I dont mind getting something leggy. As condition isnt everything. But mechanically it has to be a reliable as i do 300 miles a week.
Want to make sure im not missing any gems of ideas before i go ahead and buy. What 100k + comfortable cars would people go for ?
In general do many have a adversion to go over the 100k mark ?

My porker micro machine is at 67000. I’m doing about 13k this year. I see 135000 as a realistic target during the next 5 years of planned ownership until I take stock and decide to try for 200k or bail. It’ll be worth £5.67 by the time I’ve finished though
And I thought I’d be doing 4K a year [cough]

Sorry, i should have also said i hate repair bills.
I had an s-type a while back. Every noise terrified me. But would love an LS400. If i wasn't such a tight bugger.

I had one for a year or two and it didn't need a thing apart from petrol.

The simple answer is an IS250 it's chain driven so no cambelts, this would be the easiest option.

All the above have a fair bit less than 100k on the clock.

A few months ago I bought an E91 BMW 325i on 132K miles, and it's now on 134K.
No rubber band to replace (unlike the posh Toyotas) as it has a cam-chain - works for me!
And it apparently does 0 to 62 in 7.1 seconds, but you could always look for a 330i if that isn't quick enough.

IS200 is a decent shout. My budget is closer to 3 grand. May take a test drive in one. Can imagine it covers the comfort side of things quite well. The simple answer is an IS250 it's chain driven so no cambelts, this would be the easiest option.

Then yes the IS200 is the one to look at especially in LE form:

But the SE's are easier to find:
