I keep looking at these and quite like the look of the SPB071J1..

also while looking I spotted these 2 which are even cheaper..

SRPB53K1

Anyone have any of the above or can give any recommendations of alternative Seiko's for upto £500 (yes I know the first one is approx £700!)

Good shout on the Magrette! Never heard of them but liking these a lot. Remind me a bit of Steinhart. http://www.magrette.com

Are they any good (for the money) and can you buy them in the UK?

I think i've found it (SRPC49K1). Sold out but some available on Ebay for about £500. List I think was £429. Mmmmm

Love this SLA017 but couldn't bring myself to pay £3500. I appreciate watches shouldn't really be bought as an investment, but could a watch like the SLA017 ever hold it's money like a Rolex does?

No personal experience but reviews are good. A Pacific will be my next buy.

I managed to pick one of these up brand new recently for £349. My first Prospex but 3rd Seiko, it’s giving my SeaDweller a run for its money in wrist time. It’s just a bloody lovely thing!

I bought a SKA759p1 kinetic last year as I wanted a diver that was always set and running , but truth is I rarely wear it, its a nice piece though but will probably have to make way for something else soon

Had a Magrette Bronze for 3 years. Lovely thing that gets regular wrist time. Movements are generally Miyota so robust and reliable.
Later models have gone to a Swiss movement.

I might be tempted into another...

Holy crap that is nice! Never seen that one and I was dead set on the SRPA21.
This could be an expensive forum post for me!

Edit:

I own a Magrette and it's a very nice looking piece. The thing is, for the money, these Seiko's are unbeatable.
The Magrette is a lot more exclusive though, and I love the blue lume on it.
