How to repair this watch lug (not watch related...!)
Discussion
Hello
Sorry. For the confusing title! This post could fall under watches, or DIY!
I was given this watch by someone that means a lot to me. It’s a cheap no name watch, but I would like to repair this silver coating that has been scratched off… It doesn’t need to be a professional job; rather something that I could paint over it to cover up the scratches would be equally as good. So over to the hive mind, any ideas? Could I get something from an arts and crafts shop? Is there such thing as a metallic liquid silver pen that I could use? Any and all ideas gratefully appreciated!

It looks like the chrome plating has worn off. I imagine any kind of repair you try on that would leave it looking worse than before. I think watches look great with a few battle scars, especially if they were created by someone you want to remember.
It looks like a Rolex Submariner homage. Something like an Invicta 8926OB will have a stainless steel case and wouldn't have any coatings to flake off. If you like the watch style, you could look into them as a back-up.
