So...i have just rebuilt my rack twice, both times failing again on full lock. (Tuscan rack but all alumium power racks are the same)

I used 25/40/8 seals. I used a r23 seal but i believe after further reading there are seals more suited to linear ops. Its also possible that they are a imperial seal!

Does anyone have the actual number of the ram seal, or at least have a link to the seals that worked! I know you can get them from TVR but id rather go into my local skf or simialr and get them off the shelf (its not just that i am tight and i dont want to pay £30 for £5 worth of seals.

Thanks

I need to fully investigate my pinion as i went straight for the other one!

When you build the rack again use a cut up lemonade ( or if coke is your thing) bottle push it into the seal then insert the rack will help protect the seal against the sawing action if the teeth in the rack.
