I have been getting the SERV light coming on a reporting ENG MAN SYSTEM problem on and off over the last month. The car will reduce rev's to 3000 and is much slower accelerating than normal.

The garage has diagnosed the throttle body needs replacing by reading the error codes over the last couple of weeks. However it has now been a week since the SERV light has come on and the car is booked in this week to have the throttle body replaced. Should I still go ahead and get the throttle body replaced (as it's expensive) even though the car has been fine for the last week (have done over 500 miles).

I have had to replace about 4 different bulbs within the last month, when I changed the last one last week the ENG MAN SYSTEM problem has not occurred. Could this be related to the throttle body problem or just a coincidence?

The car is 2008, Peugeot 206, 110,000 miles.

Thanks

That was a coincidence
Did the garage check the wiring? Sometimes wiring and connections fix themselves for a while
