Since some enthusiastic driving 130 mph plus and some constant running at 5000 revs plus the engine is now behaving strangely when trying to accelerate heavily. It pulls smoothly up to approx 3500 revs then becomes lumpy.

I've read through loads of old posts on the subject of the ECU and its adaptive mappings causing odd acceleration / idling behaviour.

I've got hold of the standard MBE easymap software for the ECU but there seems to be some discussion as to whether the standard software was modified for TVR use. Question is, is this true or can I use the standard software to re-set my ECU to see if it clears the problem. If the standard software is modified could anyone let me have a copy of the modefied version.

I've checked all the other suggestions regarding water ingress.

Dont bother with easymap its naf and if there is a copy for tvr's then i want a copy to!!!

Use the tvr diagnostic software to reset the adaptives and also check for any other abnormalities.

go find a quiet road and give it some in the first three gears

Ours had a similar problem (to the point where it was very very uncomfortable) - after about the third run it started to be sweet again

Dont understand the mapping stuff - but there seems to be a "crap" setting that takes a decent thrash to get out of. Seems odd that yours started at such pace/ engine rpm though, so perhaps im wrong.
