Stick or twist - little land rovers
Discussion
Hi - having dipped in and out of the forums a while ago I had to reregister, so be gentle.
In a surprising turn of fate, we seem to have managed three utterly reliable Land Rovers in a row. Well, a little Freelander then Evoques if truth be told, but still.... not bad.
The current one is our sort of family car. Nearly 3 years old and a heady 15k Miles. That may have something to do with its reliability, but bear with me. It’s on an LR finance thing, which has given my wife the idea of changing in a few months.
Having dismissed the thing as an overpriced handbag at first, the combination of bouncy comfort, relative economy and size has actually worked quite well. At that sort of mileage I am tempted to buy it out and run for another 18 months. Especially since the option my wife likes is a hateful diesel Macan.
So I am hoping for some inspiration. Especially if anyone has any idea when the next evoque is coming and if that might be worth a shot?
Many thanks!

5k miles for a diesel?
Can you not find a petrol Macan, lovely things and if I could afford one I would have one.
I like the Evoque, for some reason I didn't want to, but after borrowing one thought it great. Personally it would have to be the si4 for me though as I just can't get my head round the refinement, or lack of with the diesel.
But if it seems a fair price and you like it why not buy it?

Interesting thanks - I tried a GTS but was maybe expecting a bit too much. It felt fine but not the semi-sports car experience touted by Porsche....
oddly my BMW went into the dealer today and an x3 came as the loaner. It’s a bit plasticky and feels wide, but the diesel is great. If that 3L was in the Land Rover it would be a no brainier!
