How difficult is it to change a battery in a Chimaera? Do I need to take it to a garage or is it easy enough to do it myself??!

V easy to do if a bit fiddly due to lack of space. Pull out the panel and dis-connect the terminals and move all excess wiring and carpet out the way (including the passenger foot well carpet). You'll see the battery is in a box, feel under the car and you should feel 2 bolts running across the car about 5" apart. Undo these as they are what hold the battery box in place, (TIP: Take a marker pen and draw a line in front of the current battery box so you know exactly where to push it back to). The box should now come free and slide out.
To replace just do the above in reverse.

You will also probably find a lid on top of the battery box held in place by a couple of pop-rivets. Drill these out - you might be able to replace them with new rivets, but I used a couple of tie-wraps to hold the lid in place - just as good IMO.
After re-fitting the battery, stick some silicon sealant around the bolts under the floor to keep the wet out!
IIRC, you will need to have your alarm fob handy to cancel the alarm's siren when you reconnect the battery!
