What sort of price should I be looking at paying for a Tuscan Speed 6 engine - not bothered about mileage but most don't seem to have done over 30,000 miles anyway. Want the whole engine including cylinder head but do not want transmission.

Best Regards

Douglass Valley breakers near me have a couple
and charge around £4000 for a 2003 engine.

Do you think that is reasonable or a bit expensive?

I dont know really depends on age, mileage I
suppose. When I looked around last year to see
if it was cheaper to get a second hand motor
than another rebuild I phoned the place below
and as far as I can remember they had speed 6
engines from £2500 upwards. Might be worth a try?

Aren't you running the risk of buying a used engine that is no better or even worse than the one you've got. So then your re-build cost effectively doubles!!
