Ash (or anyone else out there) - what oil pressure reading were you getting at idle?? Got a bit of a shock yesterday when I saw pressure at 20psi at idle (oil temp 80C; water temp 90C). No oil pressure warning light - but handbook says pressure should not drop below 40psi at idle) At around 3000 rpm pressure was sitting at around 60psi.
Oil in sump looked more like baby oil than Shell Helix -almost completely colourless, and to be honest on first visual inspection of the dip-stick I thought there was no oil in there at all! Checked this morning when cold and sump is definitely full. Maybe just everything is so sparkling and new?
Car has literally only been driven back from the dealer (approx 100miles)

Ash - many thanks; that's very reassuring and means I'll be to happy to drive the car today
Micknell stated in a recent thread that the <1000 mile oil was semi-synthetic Shell Helix 10-40, after which it was changed to fully synthetic Ultra (5-40). I would have have thought the former was more viscous at operating temps, but obviouly not.
