We're using a QMS written years ago and based on ISO9001:1994 but not certified externally to that standard or higher.
We're a small business in a niche market so it's seen us okay until now as we're getting pressure from a couple of customers to be ISO9001:2015 certified to meet their external QA demands. These are important customers to us so we're taking this seriously.
Anyone use/recommend an online QMS system? We're thinking that this would be the better option for us, allowing multiple users access to the whole system at the same time, able to record/log events etc as they happen rather than putting it all on to one person to record at a later time. Also means changes can be tracked and be available in real time.

It may be too simple for what you are looking for but I've worked with Alex at Heron Standardise, an ISO consultant, and they have created there own software to help with standards compliance and the document management.

Do you really just want a QMS system Do you just want to raise 8d or similar Documents to cope with customer and supplier Non conformance What about a gauge calibration system
What do you want it to be able to do ?
The QMS has to be as close to ISO9001:2015 as possible if we're not using ISO9001:2015 - that means we need to be able to track materials, documents, processes etc all the time. Currently paper/spreadsheet based is inefficient and not working properly. My thinking was that an online system with multi-user access with allow internal comms on issues and track updates automatically etc. hopefully we'd be able to store external calibration documents along with training documents etc in the system too - making it a single resource. What do you want it to be able to do ?
