All tuned in.

TBH I always thought that the Daleks would let the new Doctor Who series down with their abject tackiness, but having seen the knackered-looking, oil-stained one chained up in the trailer, it does actually look like a half-arsed attempt to make it look like a decrepit and archaic machine of some sort - quite accurate then!

I've heard they hover around in this series - won't be able to defeat them with carefully-placed flights of stairs then!

I thought it was a good episode - TBH I never saw the old Doctor Who series and thought the Daleks were a bit tacky. They actually made it absolutely ruthless in this episode and made it fly as well. I liked its technique of activating the sprinkler system then electrifying it, and when he said they were created to carry out ethnic cleansing it took on a whole new meaning.

I'm not normally a sci-fi person but I've got into this Doctor Who series. It doesn't blind with science or take the moral high ground, it's just plain old fun.

First one Ive seen of the new series. I enjoyed it even though it went a bit lentilist at the end.

The last time they appeared in a old Dr Who story, Remembrance of the Daleks with Sylvester McCoy, they hovered up stairs in that too.

Same here...

Mind you, there wasn't any wreckage... did it destroy itself, or did it teleport itself off somewhere?

I think it was a really good episode tbh. I'm pretty sure it destroyed itself as Rose ordered it to and after all Daleks only obey orders.
