Ok so Wandsworth Council are now converting my garage into housing (it's overrated biggrin ) and my current car will be parked on the street. Would you consider parking your pride and joy on the street or do I just resign myself to selling and joining the ranks of the masses with stodge on 4 wheels? For clarification, it isn't a road for parking dinks but a pedestrian shortcut for revellers and cars end up being keyed or mirrors ripped off frown

Find a quieter street nearby, with less through traffic (car and pedestrian).

Rent a garage / parking space locally, if its not an everyday car. Cost is fairly small - compared to other costs of nice car, and value increase if you own your property!

I've been in that area for 20 years. All my cars have been keyed, driven into, parked into etc

In fact someone keyed my bought in 1998 bruised and battered BMW the other day.

Had to laugh at that, as it was almost missed amongst all the other marks and scratches made by morons over the years.

Funnily enough when I lived in a much less salubrious part of London my cars and bikes were never touched.

I know that people in my new flat complex in Wandsworth rent out spaces in the underground gated car park you could look at something like that.

I'm in Wandsworth Balham and have no probs with the 986 on permitted street parking, there is reasonable ped/veh through traffic and no damage so far since June, though there are 3 other 911's on my road and they are also fine.

My friend in Bermondsey decided to rent a garage (@£30 per week) to keep his 997 safe, that's £1,560 per annum...
