High beam spots alignment
Discussion
Ian,
Some advice from an old MOT guide:
Park the car on level ground about 3.6 Metres from a vertical wall.
Measure from the centre of the headlamp to the ground "h"
Chalk a horizontal line on the wall at height "h"
Stand behind the car and guide an assistant to chalk a vertical line directly in front of each headlamp through the horizontal chalk line
Check that the vertical lines are the same distance apart as your headlamps
Switch on the headlamps ( full beam)
The two brightest spots should not be above the vertical line or substantially to the right of the vertical lines
To check dipped beams the beam pattern should be substantially to the left of the vertical lines and lower than the high beams
This works for me
Best of luck
