Anyone bought a new model Dacia Duster
Discussion
Were just looking ordering one of the new model Dusters. Were planning to go for the poverty spec steel wheel one but with air con and a radio. My wife commutes sixty miles a day on crap bumpy country roads and it seems ideal for the job and as cheap as chips. Has anyone on here running one that could give some feedback?
They have only just launched in the UK so no one will be in one over here yet, many dealers still don't have their showroom and display models yet, however they have been around in Europe for some while.
I have driven one and they are are a massive improvement on the previous Duster, comfier, quieter, interior is far better put together and a better place to be in, I actually think they are too good for the money.
So you will be looking at Essential spec?

Just been driving one for last week whilst my car was in the garage
I had a basic spec one with auto and the auto - don’t know if it was this particular car but the throttle response was v jerky at low speed especially when moving off when engine stopped
Apart from that everything else was fine

That one won't be the new one, it will be the just superseded model.I had a basic spec one with auto and the auto - don’t know if it was this particular car but the throttle response was v jerky at low speed especially when moving off when engine stopped

Its getting pretty good reviews
How much is the cheapest with air con ? Or can it be optioned on the base model? I assume the base model doesn't have air con, as it doesn't even have a radio.
You cannot spec A/C on the base model so it will be the Essential 1.6 SCe at £11,595.00, which is stonking value for money. How much is the cheapest with air con ? Or can it be optioned on the base model? I assume the base model doesn't have air con, as it doesn't even have a radio.
The only downside at the moment is the 1.6 petrol isn't a great engine, it is a bit flat and gutless but it is quiet and for most people it will be enough, there is a TCe 130 being launched in the first quarter of 2019.
