They do pay a reasonable amount but you’re trying to pay in more than the average 7 year old - £5k a year plus lump sums is a lot for someone in year 2.

We've just opened Santander 123 accounts for the kids - still pays 3% for them

S&S junior isa for our two with the funds mirroring ours were either getting rich together or not. Plus a Halifax 4.5% and some premium bonds.
