I used to be a bit tasty on counterstrike: source, logged something like 2500 hours over 2 years.

Haven't played it in ten years or so now, i probably suck.

Can't play FPSs for toffee on a console controller either!!

I suspect that the really good players
-put lots of time into it
-are in the same country the server is in
-use a keyboard and mouse (you can buy adapters)

or have an aimbot.

I have got worse and worse at the Battlefield games.

Bad Company 2 I was a beast.
BF3 I could top the scoreboard often.
BF4 Not great.
BF1 no clue what was going on at any one moment from the next.

I'm fairly handy on Rocket League but generally terrible on any FPS, Battlefield 1 I was particulalrly bad at!

I think I must have read the title as what are you worst at. Sorry about that.

Probably Battlefield 3 - used to take great pride in shooting down helicopters with a tank....using the main gun.

I lost 1 game in two years on GoldenEye when I was at university. I spent one semester at college in America and beat everyone there too, so I declared myself the GoldenEye Intercontinental Champion...

Awful to play these days though, you don't realise how far games have come until you look back at the old stuff.

There aren't many games I've played where I haven't beaten them on the hardest difficulty but I think I'm pretty good at the Gears of War series. Completing every mission on Gears of War: Judgement with three onyx stars was no walk in the park, not many people managed that.

Used to be a little first person shooter on the PC about 20 years ago that I was rather good at (Tactical Ops IIRC), to the extent I often got kicked off servers for "cheating" - tragically I had no idea how to cheat.... But I did know if you fired as you entered a room etc half the time you'd get a kill......

I could always finish Out Run on one credit in the arcades back in the day. Could also complete Kung Fu Master twice over and then get to the third level on one credit. Those were the days! biggrin

I'm pants at the online stuff nowadays...so I just avoid the humiliation! smile

It’s only recently with the advent of global leaderboards that you can get a true feel for how good you are.

On Nex Machina I was in the top hundred worldwide for a bit.

On Geometry Wars 3, I had two global high scores and 8 top ten places out of a total of 50 levels. That’s a rare achievement for me.

I used to work in Amsterdam when I was 18 and after work I went to the arcade and played Outrun, Turbo Outrun and SuperMonacoGP. With a bit of luck I could finish all three. I still play Passing Breeze now and again!

Nice one! smile I really like the fact that Out Run still holds up to play today, its such an iconic game I reckon. I used to love the sit down cabinet version loads.

I find the original less fun than Outrun 2.
