FORCES CHIEF BLASTS BLAIR
the man who led britain's forces into iraq says tony blair will join british troops in the dock if the military is ever prosecuted for war crimes.
the newspaper interview with former chief of defence staff admiral sir michael boyce,brings iraq back into the election spotlight.
sir michael's interview in the observer also comes as 2 other newspapers make claims that mr blair had been commited to war in iraq from the outset because he wanted regime change.
sir michael said he did not have the full legal cover from prosecution at the international criminal court (i.c.c)
he told the newspaper "if my soldiers went to jail and i did,some other people would go down with me"
"i wanted to make sure that we all had this anchor which has been signed by the government law officer.it may not stop us from being charged,but by god,it would make sure other people were bought into frame aswell"
pressed if he meant tony blair,he replied "TOO BLOODY RIGHT!"
the former defence chief added that he had never been shown the crucial march 7th advice by attourney general lord goldsmith that questioned wether the war was legal,he had only been given a later assurance of legality which contained none of the caveats.
in another damaging development for mr blair,the sunday times says it has obtained downing street documents that show the prime minister was privatly commited to war long before the discision was taken by parliament.
it says blair was discussing the possibility of regime change in iraq in july 2002.
at the time the arguements publicly resided around a breach of u.n sanctions by iraq being the only justification for war.
another leaked document published in the independent on sunday suggests the foreign office had severe doubts about the march 2003 invasion.
the claims came days after the government was forced to publish the attourney general's original advise on the legal basis of the war.
the government had refused to publish it for almost 2 years but was forced to after another leak.

the man is like cheap toilet paper, sh*t doesn't stick to it. not going into a debate whether the war was right or wrong, but if he had any doubts about its legality, it should have been debated in Parliament. he didnt present this case, so he was lying, or at the very least incompetent. i'd personally place my bets on the first scenario.
I have also heard that because of an Almighty cock-up, most of the Forces in Iraq can't vote at the general election! A few weeks back a soldiers' family member raised this point in a question and answer slot on Jeromey Vine, BLIAR promised he'd sort it out, and guess what,,, it is still not sorted!
So the armed forces who are risking their lives because of bLIAR and this country can't vote, but it seems a load of foreign students have got the vote in our election because of a cock up!!!

yup. its true. we have to re rgister to vote every year or so, and it didnt become public knowledge until 6 days before the deadline for the general election

But didn't the forces automatically get registered for postal votes until Tory bLiar changed the rules........
At about the same time as he made postal voting easier for "everyone else" (ie those that didn't usually bother to vote, but were likely to vote Not Labour if they did) in the interests of "democracy"?!
