Complete Engine Cutout When Using Indicator?

My R300D left me randomly stranded today. When indicating to turn left into a street, the engine immediately cut out and would not restart.
After disconnecting the battery and reconnecting, then engine started perfectly. As soon as I went to indicate again, it stopped.
The strange thing is that the car will not restart after this happening, unless I completely disconnect and reconnect the battery.
This is obviously some type of electrical problem, but where should I start looking?
