Finding the colour of my car

can someone tell me how to correctly identify the colour of my Griff?
a phone no. or email would be great.

i have just purchased some carrado mirrors and adapter bosses from ebay and i need to find the colour for the respraying of them.

I'm in the same boat, but I'm too lazy to look.

Most cars have a colour identification number on the VIN plate or a plate next to that. I assume the TVR is the same.

Take a look in your 'handbook' you know the thing, looks like an 80's filofax, you get it out once a year to get a page at the back stamped
Page 4 of mine has all the details you'll ever need, VIN numbers, Engine numbers, TVR colour code, colour code of the mainstreem car manufacturer that the colour is nicked from even the trim colour code

Ocean Haze is what it looks like to me.
Call the factory tomorrow and they will be able to give you the ICI paint code.

I'd go for Porsche Ocean Jade metalic
Ocean Jade is a Porsche colour, it was available on 911's and Boxsters about 6 years ago

I used to live near a little backstreet body parts and paint dealer, you could just drive in, the owner would take a look at the car and say, arrrr thats VW whatever green.... get a pack of painted sample strips out and then match the exact colour to your car, even taking into account a little ageing of the colour

The first ocean haze car was the press griff and that was a J plate, so we can deuce from this that Porsche stole the colour from TVR

Just ring the factory and ask for the paintshop. Give them your Vin number and they'll be able to tell you the exact paint code and name of the colour.
