Described as Master and Commander meets The Thing I watched episode 1 yesterday - absolutely dripping with atmosphere and dread.

Although no monsters or the like yet.

If you want a 'feel' for it then click this link for images: https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=the+terror&r...

Has anybody been watching it?

Looks good, but I don't fancy just watching the first one - seems it's 'BT exclusive', I'll wait till its on a platform I use.

Just binged this series and I have to say it was one of the best I've watched in a long time.

If you like your TV series to be; well scripted, delivered by BAFTA level actors with just a hint of gore, then this is a definite watch.

Enjoyed the first couple of episodes of this on BBC2 last night, wasn't aware it was released a couple of years back on other media.

Watched the first two episodes last night on BBC2. Quite like a slow burn series so will see how it goes.

Watched it last year, it does get better and you do see the "Thing" in a few more episodes.

Definitely worth sticking with.

Yeah, great show. Watched it on BT when they had it. It really builds nicely and has a decent payoff. Some surprises on how characters develop too.

There was a second series which was more of an anthology thing set in Japan, I think. Apparently not as good (didn't see it).

I know it's based on a book , but I'd prefer it stuck to the true story sans unlikely polar man eating ogre,
although the backdrops and effects look amazing, no cotton wool snow in this production.

seen it a few years ago. Very good but worst thing about it is there has to be a monster. Like being trapped and starving isn't horror.
