How hot is your office? - Photos required.

Here we go... photos or it doesn't count!
Too hot to work here, over 30 most of the day, so the hour or so has resulted in zero ability to focus on anything at all.

Purchasing assure me the the air-conditioning is ordered, but lead time is not confirmed and with this climate I expect the installers are flatout!

Don't have a thermometer to hand, but it's scorchio. Picked up a portable £150 air-con unit from Homebase and while it's lovely if you're sat in front of it, it's making very little difference to the room as a whole (and yes it is venting into a separate area)
Is it also drawing cooling air from the room too? trickywoo said:
They normally have a hose that you hang out of a window.
They do, but that's the exhaust hose. The portable units generally pull the air in from the room they're in via vents on the unit and exhaust the hot by-product air out of the hose, so they will almost always be pulling the cooling air from the room they're in.

Is that best then or is it better to have it blowing in from outside the room? The portable units generally pull the air in from the room they're in via vents on the unit and exhaust the hot by-product air out of the hose, so they will almost always be pulling the cooling air from the room they're in.
