Just permanently removed my rear ARB. I'm removing the exhaust and decided to do away with the useless hunk of iron.

They're actually part of the rear wishbones. You could get someone to just weld some plate on in situ with the droplinks removed.

I too the rear ARB too, for a few months, and didn't think there was any difference. But I was advised it would have to be refitted for the MoT (moot point but I did it anyway).

I think the handling is slightly better but the difference is marginal. Easily usable without it.

As the old saying goes "time is money", Whats the going rate for a plumber, £100 an hour? Could you make that in 15 minutes?

If you remove the chassis plates I would be surprised if an MOT tester would know it was missing. There's very few TVR knowledgeable MOT testers, the TVR dealer network subcontract testing. I discussed it with my friendly MOT tester two weeks ago whilst talking about replacing the passenger side exhaust manifold gaskets. I told him I was going to try the car without it and if okay I'd leave it off. He didn't appear to be concerned

I’d agree, my tester certainly didn’t know it was missing recently.

Daz, it’s only £25!

I need to buy a rear light module for my Merc as one taillight stays on. £460!!!!

£25 is a bargain.

I have a pair but removed arb a couple of years ago so never got them fitted.
Very robust and make the original plate look feeble so well worth it I’d say especially if you get drop links that actually work wink

I think for £25 thats good value they have had that fabricated and then need to make a profit .......dont leave much on the bone profit wise Daz frown its a nicely constructed piece and you can have that buzzed on to your existing wishbone for a drink I would imagine biggrin ARB is only an MOT fail if its fitted and has a defect (worn bushes etc) no ARB fitted then no fail scratchchin

I could send you a few pieces of thick flat plate if that would fit but im unable to do any fancy bends etc.
Would need exact dimensions.
