Got a pig of a hood to try and sort out on an MX5 SVT 2005, any tips would be gratefully received?

What is that, mold? My work boots do that, if I leave them in a locker for longer than a few days. Moisture, heat, limited ventilation.

Citrus based cleaner (gtechniq w5), a fairly stiff bristled brush and a pressure washer.....and a fair chunk of time.

> spray with citrus cleaner
> leave for >10mins
> spray again and agitate with brush
> pressure rinse until water runs clear
> repeat step 3 and 4 as required.
> once completely clean and bone dry brush on a protection product such as gtechniq I1

  • wouldn't advise doing this in direct sunlight or on scorching hot days like we've experienced recently.
cheers

More like fungus, the place where she works is surrounded by trees, like a wood, with a car park, they park the cars under the trees to keep the cars cool. I've told her not to but they don't listen. rolleyes

Spent an hour, early evening, washing it yesterday. Still needs some work but much better than it was.

The twist in the tale was I didn't go for the fancy shmancy Qtechiq stuff I used Elbow Grease from Boyes Cheapo shop, It worked very well. I think another session and it will be spotless and I can get some waterproofing on it.
