Rolex light polish

Hi all,

My 2015 BLNR has some scratches on the side of the main watch that i'd like lightly polished out, don't really want to go to Goldsmiths etc to get it done, any recommendations in the Oxfordshire area or has anyone had similar done and if so what did you pay?

Buy a cape cod polishing cloth and DIY.

Very simple and easy to do, will take out all light scratches.

Yeah i did look at some you tube videos of that technique, just blooming worried about ballsing it up....

Polish a mirrored SS surface with Cape Cod and look at it with. x5 loupe. Not nice. Good at 20 meters but not up close.

The analogy could be it’s like taking your Aston Martin or Ferrari to the local £5 wash & go or paying £150 for a high quality valet by a reputable detailer. Some might say that you get what you pay for.

Some might. But I don't get many people coming up and examining my watches with a loupe... and I like wearing them.

I have a BLNR and used a cape cod polishing cloth very lightly to get rid of a few marks. It looks absolutely fine by naked eye.

I don’t see the point in having it polished professionally only to have it polished again.

Each to their own.
