Might have a project coming up, low volume, where I need to ‘fool’ a machine into thinking a small DC motor with tacho feedback is connected.

Basically it will involve scaling the DC voltage power output to a 0-10v signal and giving a separate DC feedback signal.

Anyone into circuit design or recommendations for a company into bespoke ccts?

Sounds interesting , tacho feed back is normally a pulsed signal , is it converted to dc on the motor ? I’ve got a few projects I’m designing PCBs for , haven’t done a design for about 6 years but should be like riding a bike I hope. What you need sounds very simple , should be able to sort it easily but would need some more details.

Sorry, too much on at the minute with on thing and another. Looks like the project is going ahead, just going about setting up to measure output signal min - max and tach generator volts return on the existing system.

Tacho feedback is from a brushed pickup on a commutator on the back of the dc motor, bit like a dynamo. Think it’s 36v output per 1000 rpm but just getting set up over the next few days to see what’s what.
