Sea-monkey breeding habits?

Thought that title would make people look, must warn you this question is plain weird and indicative of how much time I have on my hands sometimes

Anyway, our 5 year old got some sea-monkeys for christmas. Predictably he's lost interest and most of them died but the other day I noticed the remaining few were paired off and getting down to some loving.

This week they've doubled in length and seem to have developed two large pods halfway along their bodies, which I presume are some sort of egg sacs?

Anyway what has caught my interest in these, lets be honest, crappiest of pets is that everyone of them is like this. So assuming these are the females, I'm wondering what happened to the males?

Hopefully someone on here knows what goes on in the sea-monkey reproductive cycle and can put me out of my misery, cheers.
