Long ago exported, but not reported as such?
Discussion
I'm looking at buying a car that was originally from the UK, but nearly immediately shipped down to Italy to be used as a track only car (track day "experience" thing) & was never registered there (possibly wouldn't have been possible anyway). The company that owns the car, being the responsable business owner they are, never reported the car as permanently exported. It's also never had a MOT & not SORN... and of course, no tax paid since 2008 (when first purchased).
How much of a mess would this be to try to get sorted out? I won't be registering the car in the UK (Germany), but I will need things like a clean title in order to get it registered here in Germany. Should I forget this car exists, or is it just a matter of getting the current owner to file a bit of paperwork?
