I must admit that it annoyed me slightly when it first started but when i saw it tonight i thought " you sly g!ts" 
Not that they are getting you to vote for any one party......Apart from the one that you are used to. Seriously though, what if it is government sponsered?, Why? what have they to gain? except associating blair with a rather good advert.

yup, I hate that advert.
I just want to smash that cartoon characters face in.
After all if he "does do" politics where will the police be to save him, eh.
As they say, it doesn't matter who you vote for the govenment will still get in.
At the end of the day is anyone nieve enought to think that if they vote anything will change. Especially if you live in a safe seat constituency.

The "I don't do politics" character is a charicature, not of the non voting puplic as intended, but rather the manifestation of politicians arogance.
The presentation of the character shows that politicans actually belive that if we choose not to vote for them then we must be apathetic and are unworthy to have an opinion on how the country is run. Arrogant muppets.
This reminds me of an internet poll at the time of the last election. The question "what would make you more likely to vote?" was asked. Several options were presented such as, ten pound bribes, polling booths in the pub, etc. Guess what came top? "The belief that my vote would change something" Obviously no politicians looked at the results.
Voter apathy isn't the problem. But the fact that politicians think that character is a fair representation of a non voter speeks volumes and is very closely linked to the real problem.
