Picked up a new car from dealership, noticed during handover it had white paint spattered down one side (looked like it had been parked too near where some spraying was going on). Dealership offered to "fix it" and stupidly I let them... whatever they've used (wire wool & brasso?!!) has left some hazy dull patches (looks like tiny scratches close up) in the clear coat. They're not super dramatic (don't really show up in photos) but pretty visible in the right light.
What's really annoying is that they missed loads of the spatter anyway and I was able to clean it off with a gentle dab of tar remover and left no visible damage at all, so I should've just brought it home and dealt with it myself. Lesson learned.
Anyway, I've used AG Super Resin Polish on the hazed/scratched patches and it's improved massively but from past experience the SRP will wear off pretty quick and those hazy patches will keep showing up again... not great on a brand new car. Is there some way to get it polished out more effectively/permanently? what product/process? is it worth taking it to a professional?
