Connecting Sky Box to TV
Discussion
Just had my lounge decorated and the sky satellite cable is in one corner of the room (where the TV once was). How can I connect this to my TV wirelessly? Is this possible? I have the old sky HD box, do I need this new sky Q? TV is Samsung f8000 from memory. The wife is adamant that she want's the cables to be hidden and really don't want to
Can you stream any of the sky boxes to a TV just by a WIFI connection?
Are there any other products in the market that can help with this?
I need to re-negotiate both broadband and TV services as well so this can factor in to any available options. TV package must have HD and broadband needs to be 20mb plus.
TIA people.

You still need a HDMI cable between the TV and the Minibox
Of course, but his issue is the coax cables from the dish are in the wrong place. A Sky Q box hooked up to this and then a mini box hidden behind the TV would achieve what is needed. OP, can you not run new cables in from outside to where the TV is now, far easier option.
Discussion with the wife last night
Bringing up the carpet and laying underneath as suggested is a no. "the carpet will not feel the same" Not sure who walks on the edge of the carpet but never mind
Having just redecorated, don't think drilling holes will be met with much enthusiasm.
Why has led me to looking at Sky Q and a mini box. The Sky Q box can use the satellite cable and hide under the sofa while the mini box can sit on top of the PS4 and connect to the TV via HDMI. Winner.
Thanks for all the input.

That's what I was suggesting, although tucking the Sky Q box under a sofa may be an issue in terms of the wireless connection to the miniboxes. I was decorating my main room recently, and put a plastic sheet over the tv cabinet, Sky Q box et al, and it played havoc with the minibox reception around the house. Thanks for all the input.
I guess you won't know until you try it.
