Hi,
I'm renewing a loom, does anyone know what size/amp cable I need to feed the headlights?

The new loom is missing the link from the inner wing to the lamps. I also would like to extend the fog lamp loom just in case ( I know they werent fitted as standard, but the wires are there so just want to add the link while I am doing it. ) .

Thanks.

What wattage are the bulbs?
Just divide the wattage by the voltage, then multiply by the number of lights, and that's the amps being drawn. Go up a chunk from there. I presume they're fused? So make sure the fuse value is somewhere between the two.

So 2 x 55w bulbs at 12v = (55/12) x 2 = 4.6 x 2 = 9.2A, so go with something that should be good for 20A, and fuse at 15A, or 30A cable and 20A fuse. Remember, the fuse doesn't want to blow in normal use, but should protect the cable.

Hope you don't mind I've shamelessly pilfered those too. Not the perfect help for but a great assistance to the 3.4 s type I'm working on at the moment.
