Jukebox valuation
Discussion
Does anyone know of anything like a glasses guide or good reference/lookup for old juke boxes?
I have a Seeburg KD100 and KD200 I could do with market values for, for probate/IHT purposed.
I don’t want to go too low, but nor do I want them to be valued like a retailer would for a fully restored non-fault box with a warranty and be paying £1000s extra IHT.
They’re in good condition but both need work and suffer with persistent selector and amp faults.
So far no one who sells them seems to want to put a value on them or ‘buy’ them and give a price.
I suppose I could pay a valuer but I’d be surprised if they didn’t just use some kind of book/lookup resource?!
Thanks for any help
Dave

If you have a refusal from a couple of trade purchasers that should be enough to value at close to zero.I have a Seeburg KD100 and KD200 I could do with market values for, for probate/IHT purposed.

+1 A quick look on the bay sees speculators pushing "mint" fully working systems at £6K so thats full retail. For repair not fully functioning looks about a tenth that price. IHT/Probate needs a value for fast sale and as yours are not actually fully functioning there is no reason you should even value them at that, £500 for the two would be my estimate. If you sell in the future for more , with or without restoration it just counts towards your Capital gains allowance.
