It's kept on with glue and a tight fit. When I changed mine I used a pair of mole grips and gave it a sharp twist. That broke the glue seal and then a bit of hard work and it came off the shaft.

Damn sight easier getting the Leven one on than the TVR one off...

BTW when you undo the button be careful as the spring can boing pretty much anywhere. Keep a finger on it to prevent a very frustrating afternoon....

I ended up cutting mine off as they'd used some super sticky stuff on the chim, had to chisel the excess glue off as well, must have been a Friday when they made mine

I used a pair of pink marigolds and some brute force! .....






......must add, the pink marigolds were er in doors....mine are the yellow ones!

Same here, hacksawed through it diagonally and peeled it off with pliers.

Thanks guys, and now out to the garage i go.....
