What to do? Sell 2 Porkers and buy 1? Or just keep both?

As above... I have a 993 Carrera 2, 1996, manual, varioram, hardback seats, all the usual work taken care of and I also have a 996.2 GT3 Club Sport also in really great shape. I love both cars and each of them both put a huge smile on my face when I drive them. I'm thinking about keeping them both for a long time (also hoping prices may rise more... like every other owner!) but I am finding it increasingly difficult to use them both mainly because of work and family. Sooooo... my dilemma is, should I sell them and buy one car? Maybe a 997 GT3 RS??? 997.2 GT3?? It would have to be something special... or do I hold on to them both??? Real first world problems...
Any thoughts or opinions would be appreciated...

Well, I would hope the new car gets enough use to justify the change... I do use both cars but just not as much as I would like... When I'm not getting a chance to use them or only get a chance to chose one It just makes me think about selling for the ease of owning one car...I've no idea how much the 2 you own will sell for or how much a 997 GT3 costs.

I ran two fun cars in addition to my daily (and kind of still do which I will explain later). For a couple of years the two fun ones were a 997 Turbo cab, which then became a 997 GTS, alongside a Maserati Granturismo GTS. Quite different cars (Pcars vs Maz) so you would have thought easier to justify both. What I found was life was so busy that I rarely got to use either and to have the cash sat there and with the Maz at least knowing that it was depreciating whilst not being used, I decided to replace it with a much lower cost family friendly fun (ish) car which was a cheapskate but lovely E93 330i Cab (which as been fantastic BTW). I’ve had the 330i for 2 years and it is now sold and goes on Wednesday. I have concluded that if you have 2 fun cars, try and make them have clear differences of purpose if you can but also importantly, if you don’t use them a lot, it is a lot easier to justify the maintenance & running costs if they are not depreciating (I have had the 997 GTS for 4 years and the retail has gone up quite a bit).
Because you are asking the question, it probably means something isn't right for you with the two cars you have, but given neither is depreciating there’s no rush to decide. It may be that they are a little too close in their purpose so maybe let one go (I personally wouldn’t sell both for the 997’s you mention).

think I would swap the 2 for a 997.2 GT3, car markets peaked so good time to get out esp as you stated (also hoping prices may rise more... ) if you are wishing that over driving then get out now imo

Car market's peaked... How many times we heard that. Rich did OK out of the last recession.ALso you might use the 997.2 GT3 more.

I'm facing a similar dilemma hold on to the air cooled you'll struggle to justify getting back into another later.
Hmmm... agree in principle on keeping both of them as they sound lovely, but also agree about them maybe being too similar.
I've got two "fun" cars (or maybe as many as four, depending on your views !) but the important ones for this discussion are a 996.1 C2 and a V8 Vantage.
The Porsche was supposedly family friendly, but in reality it was too much hassle putting the child in the back and we always ended up taking the wife's Passat instead. The Porsche was only ever me on my own, or me and the wife.
Then I started doing some entry-level club events and fitted bucket seats, rendering it non-family-friendly. But we never used it for family stuff, so that really didn't matter.
Then I bought the Vantage. My wife loves it, and only after I'd bought it did she admit that she'd never liked the Porsche. I'd had it nearly six years !
So two cars with two purposes - Porsche for the purer driving, Aston for the occasion. And that seems to be working quite well so far.
