HARTSIDE NEAR ALSTON (which is the highest market town in Britain)

A run out on the hills to see friends. Not very good pics, but you'll get the idea.

Funny thing, 20 minutes after these pics it was GLORIOUS sunshien, but those pics are boring

I've been up this road many times, it is class. From where I live its about 50 miles of class fast roads, small sections of rough and some amazing hairpins.

Then the pic down ths pass is 5 miles of amazing hairpins and tight bends. Not totally suited to HSV's but wonderful fun

Thats a fantastic bit of road, sometimes I take that route from London to Kielder just for the last 50 miles.

Just got to watch out for the bikers who also like to play

Great stretch of road - the UK's best in the opinion of the AA. This is where the AP Racing brakes and Bilstein/Eibach suspension come into their own. Great when its dry, fun when its wet and damn scary in the winter.
