My trip to 'County TVR' today
Discussion
Even though I knew they were closed i decided to take the trip up from Bristol today to have a good look at a T350 and Tam (ive never been up close to either)
Arriving on the forecourt they had 2x T350's, a Tuscan S and a Tam.
Mainly the trip was a bit of a let down becasue of the shit condition the cars were in! Even though they were under a 'port' they were paint scuffed in places, dirty, had leaves/grit and bits in teh number plate surrounds, they were covered in rainwater marks and lots of bird shit. All the cars had at least one kerbed alloy & they had clearly not been cleaned for weeks!
The Tamora even had its passenger window left part way down when they were closed!
My mind has been made up that a Tam is now out of the question becasue there are bits of it that deperatly need updating to make it look modern and even start to compete with one of my other choices, the S2 exige.
Which brings it on to a T350. I and my girlfriend both fell in love with the looks and the interior. The boot looked huge and could quite easily cope with a set of Golf Clubs? But the condition of the cars left a lot to be desired. One was a 53 one was a 54, but they both looked a LOT older! If i was to get one, i would want a higher standard than that.
All in all it was a constructive trip for me becasue it allowed me to compare 2 T350s 'finish' side by side and see the differences in build quality, interiors, part location etc. I could even see the condensation problem in the rear lights on one of the cars. I look forward to test driving one though.
So now I have narrowed it down to 2 and there is a choice to make. T350 or S2 Exige! Decisions decisions. Time to do a 'pros and cons' list i think for both i think.

interesting choice. I recently traded in my mk2 exige and should get my t350t by the end of the month. Thought the exige was a really good car, amazing handling but not enough power. Oh and the tvr in my opinion has far more of a 'wow' factor. Also, after 3 years of lotus ownership i'd got fed up of clambering in and out of a car with a high sill.
Good luck
Good luck
