I have not seen this elsewhere on here (tried search) so apologies if it is a repost.
2 100 foot holes dug out of a river bed in Amsterdam during construction if a a Metro line under the river.
What they dug up was incredible, and also incredible is what they have done with a select number of the 700,000 items of interest they found.
