Audi A3 Typ 8L - 2000 1.8 - common faults/problems?

Hi all,

As title, going to look at a 1.8 petrol tomorrow and just wanted to know what I should be keeping on top of. It's covered north of 140k so want to try and make sure it's not due any expensive engine work.

Can I suggest looking at a Mk4 Golf GTI 1.8T. They're better built and cheap to run.

Only looking at this one as it's popped up locally, wouldn't usually have considered it but looks a good price.
