I need to replace a couple of split hoses on a yr 2000 cabrio, is there any sorce other than BMW as they are quite pricey to say the least.

Alternatively would a hydraulic specialist be able to repair or fabricate new ones?

I make hydraulic hose's for a living

Car makers want you to buy the hose's from them, so the ends on automotive hose's are usually a different style to "standard" hydraulic fittings

I don't recall ever having a go at making any roof pipes ... I mainly get power steering pipes to make/repair

I'd say I manage to do something with about a third of them

I'm still allowed to cut out and re-use ends out of hose's ... some places are not

So, Yes it's worth trying your local hydraulic hose place ... but odd's are a bit against you

Thanks Paul, its what I suspected, the hoses are only 6mm and made of unreinforced nylon similar to pneumatic push-fit piping so quite unusual.

With them being so pricey I thought I would see if someone enterprising had worked out a cheaper solution.

I wonder whether inline connectors are available to cut and join them.

What sort of pressure does the system use?
