I've been looking for a match for my paint code (KV52) and I found a mention on this forum of a company whose website is www.autopaintsbrighton.com (sorry can't do hyperlinks). They're said to be au fait with TVR codes, and in fact you can enter the code into their online order form. Or you could just ring them on 01273 328698.

Hi There I realise this is a rather old post but did you ever track down your DAT815 paint code ?? I have the same and am struggling to correctly identify it..I know I could go to a place to get it matched but the OCD in me really would like to know :-) TIA Doug. Recent 280i FHC owner !! Steep learning curve !

Have you tried to reference ici paint codes seem to recall that is what they used back then.
Also don't think ici are still going
