Finishing off dashboard refurb Done the main bit and door trims



And now finished the centre. Shades of Jag maybe ?? And I did get one of switch tags wrong !!!
But overall pleased with the result.
All done with walnut pattern formica, a dremel and some laquer.

I need to do mine on my s2. Had thought about French polish to bring it back to life, has anyone tried it and did it look ok?
Another idea I had was a walnut or similar varnish?

A dash has just come on an ebay listing 142883528929 Makes sense to get that one recovered with proper veneer then swap it when it comes back, instead of being without the car for weeks

Before you go to the expense of having the new on veneered you might want to check it's a nice sliding fit into your dash moulding. If you need to, file the edges down to make it fit easily before you have it veneered. Just a thought.
