Hazard light problem 93 pre serp

Hi everyone
Just doing few a few pre MOT fixes one of which was to replace the indicator dash light bulb which I did with no real issues (usual tricky dash issues) so now the warning lights flash left and right as they should. When I press the hazard light button the hazards no longer flash - there’s an electrical hum and the diode gets hot !
When the immobiliser is switched on and off the hazards work fine as do the indicators which lead me to believe the relays are all functional and I’ve removed the diode and checked it with a meter and it also seems ok. The bible says there are 2 diodes - I can only find one under the relay mounting plate under the top dash cover - is there another one ?
Any ideas what the problem could be please !! It’s doing my head in !

The circuit controlling the indicators from the immobiliser and that from the hazard switch are completely separate.

As the immobiliser/alarm seems to be OK I would concentrate on the Hazard circuit.

Were things working OK before you changed the dash lamp?

Yes they were working ok
I’ve disconnected the dash lights just to see if the new lights are causing a problem but still no hazards ? Indicators worked ok

Correction to my last comment - the hazards were working the last time I tried them - I’m not sure if that was before I changed the dash lights so maybe they have developed a fault over time ?

I'm still struggling to get the hazard lights to work
Anyone got a readable circuit diagram they could email or post a link on here please
The bible circuit is too blurry for my old eyes
