F31 Noisy air con

My F31 330d has developed a rather noisy fan when on full blast with aircon.
Gather this is a common issue with the 3 series and there's plenty of videos on the YouTubes showing it could just be a leaf stuck in the filter.

Still, local garage has quoted £250!!

Anyone else had a more significant issue with their aircon?

Not recently. In the past I have had leaves go into the ducting and make that fluttering noise. Eventually the leaves desiccate, break into small pieces and get expelled through the vents.
