So this was in pre-alpha and early access on steam for ages, and finally got released in June.

Playing the hell out of it at the moment, loving the online races.

Anyone else play?

Is this the demolition derby style game?

Saw a YouTube video about it ages ago. Forgot the name. smile

May take a look.

It's definitely on my radar once it come out on either the xbone or PS4, looks fantastic. I was hoping only horizon 4 and red dead 2 were going to swallow my money this year!

The same developer did a couple of similar sort of games didn't they (which I can't remember the names of), in the same vein as Destruction Derby games? I had both of those, they were good fun for a bit but just didn't hold my attention the way the DD games did on the original Playstation. This one does look better and I kept meaning to pick it up on early access but fear of a third disappointment sort of put me off a bit.

Anyone able to compare these to the ones I'm talking about but can't remember the names of? biggrin

Flatout!

This ones a bit more racey? Cars are like a cross between bangers and budget rallycross.

That's the badger, thanks! So this is significantly different to those to warrant a look, or no?

It looks good, and plays well. Although not worth the £30 odd quid.

I'm waiting for it to be on sale.

After getting it when it was 25% off, I got round to installing it this weekend and had a go last night. I like it a lot, and there's a bunch of add ons in the Steam workshop for it. I think there will be a bit of grinding at first to open it up and get a few cars in the garage, but there's a lot of potential for silliness once I've got further into the game.

Yep, get out of the first championship and level up a bit and you unlock a fair bit.

There is/was a UK server which was just ovals and 8s, epic fun.

I love the dirt oval.

I was off last week so I had a good go at this. Really liking it and it runs pretty well too. Next up is to have a go at a few mods, the only one Ive done so far is to add the Lada Samara (Called 2108 in the game) as a car hehe

This is out on Xbox and PS4 now, with a few extra tracks and car that have been added to the PC version too. I've seen a few videos on the Failrace YouTube channel and the triangular circuit looks fun (not sure what it's called), new cars include a stretched limo and a sofa car hehe

I've had it on PC for a couple of months I think - great fun, especially as that's how I drive in every racing game, only in Wreckfest it doesn't feel like cheating...

Latest update (last night) has absolutely fked the game though.
Completely changed the driving and damage model, it's absolutely abysmal now.

Its baffling what they have done.

Annnnd a huge patch has just been released, changing a lot back:

For Novice and Amateur AI difficulty, reverted AI rubberbanding to Summer 2018 settings.
Increased the chance of AI raceline mistakes for Novice and Amateur AI difficulty.
Disabled rubberbanding for Expert AI difficulty.
Made Supervan easier to control especially with a keyboard.
Reverted the default camera to what it was in the Summer 2018 build.
